I have a question about Licorice as my daughter's Licorice is having trouble holding any items.
My older DD received Coconut in her stocking for Christmas and my younger DD received Licorice. Coconut's magnet is great, but Licorice was only able to hold the ball she came with and nothing else (including items from two of the "best friends" sets). I called customer service. The woman I spoke with was extremely nice, and she asked me if I would mind trying to cut off a little of Licorice's fur around her mouth and see if that helped. She told me to call back if I decided I wanted a replacement. My DD had already become quite attached and did not really like the idea of returning Licorice but was also frustrated that she couldn't hold much. So.....I ended up cutting off about 1/2 inch of fur before I could get any of the toys to stay in her mouth. To me (and to older DD) the bare patch is pretty noticeable, but it doesn't seem to bother younger DD. Also, although she can hold most items now, her magnet is still not as strong as Coconut's. Finally, although younger DD says the bare patch doesn't bother her, she hasn't played much with Licorice since I did the cutting . So my question is: What would you do? Should I go ahead and ask for a replacement? Can anyone tell me if they have a Licorice with a really good magnet that is comparable to Coconut's?
Sorry this is so long - Thanks!

Shawn~

Our Licorice also has a weak magnet compared to our Coconut. We bought Licorice when she was first released. I can get her to hold most things, but they have to be positioned just right and if you move her they fall off. I just figured that's how they all were so I never bothered to try to do an exchange or anything.

If your daughter is not playing with her as much because of the haircut, I would exchange, because they did suggest you cut it.

However, my Coconut has a very weak magnet. You have to press very hard to make things connect- and the fur isn't really thick. So I think it really is quite variable.
